Wrongful Termination Investigations
A wrongful termination is when an employee is discharged or laid off in violation of a legal right to that employee. The employee must show that the termination was, in fact, “wrongful” meaning that one or more legal rights were violated. Reasons for wrongful termination could be:
Violation of public policy
Breach of contract
Breach of implied contract
Breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealings
Discrimination.
